Xiaomi has confirmed the Xiaomi 17 series launch for September 25 in China. The lineup includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. All three phones debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, introduced this week.
The company calls the Xiaomi 17 its most powerful standard flagship. For the Xiaomi 17 Pro, the brand highlights advanced imaging in a compact design. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max takes the position as Xiaomi’s most powerful flagship to date.
Battery and Charging
Each model in the series brings a large battery and fast charging upgrades. The Xiaomi 17 offers a 7000mAh battery with 90W charging. Moving to the Xiaomi 17 Pro, users get a 6300mAh battery with 100W charging. Finally, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max combines a 7500mAh battery with 100W charging support. Wireless charging will also be part of the entire lineup.

CEO Keynote
Xiaomi Group Chairman and CEO Lei Jun will deliver his sixth annual speech at the event. He has chosen the theme “Change” for this year’s keynote. During the talk, he plans to discuss the Xiaomi XRING chip and share updates on Xiaomi Auto. This broader focus positions the event as a showcase of Xiaomi’s expanding technology ecosystem.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Series
The Xiaomi Pad 8 series will also debut at the event. Both the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro come with an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD panel featuring a 144Hz refresh rate. A Soft Light Screen Edition joins the lineup for better eye comfort.
Powering the Pad 8 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pro gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Xiaomi reports the Pro model hits an AnTuTu score of 3 million, delivering a 69% jump in performance compared to the last generation. A 9200mAh battery with 67W charging will keep both tablets running for long sessions.
