HUAWEI has officially introduced the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X 2025 for global markets. The tablet, earlier unveiled in China as the MatePad Air 12, features a large 12-inch 2.8K 144Hz LCD screen, ultra-thin metal body, and advanced PaperMatte technology for enhanced outdoor visibility. At just 5.9mm thin and weighing 555g, the device balances sleek design with durability.
Display and Design
The centerpiece of the tablet is its 12-inch 2.8K LCD display with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. It supports a variable refresh rate between 30Hz and 144Hz, making it ideal for both smooth visuals and power efficiency. HUAWEI introduced its Ultra-clear PaperMatte Display, which reduces surface glare by 50% through High Precision Nanoscale Anti-glare Etching Technology. By cutting 99% of light interference, the display offers a paper-like touch experience and remains readable even in direct sunlight.
Performance and Features
The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X 2025 comes equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, running HarmonyOS 4.3. A unique 3D heat dissipation system, combined with high-thermal-conductivity graphite and a 3D vapor chamber, improves performance by 27%. The tablet also supports accessories such as the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard and M-Pencil Pro, enhancing productivity and creative workflows.
